Our UDC Day Care Services

We offer a range of services to support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the individuals who attend. These services may include:

• Outreach Services

  
  Outreach is defined as reaching out to others, or becoming involved in a community or effort. This is when we reach out to service users/families in the community to help them access therapeutic services & activities. The service is person centred and needs led, all services that we deliver are personalised. Families/Carers have difficulties accessing other services such as:
  Health Care Appointments (GP, Dentist)
  Hearing Tests
  Blood Tests
  Hairdressers / Nails
  Short Stays away from home

• Therapeutic Services

  
  We use in-depth counselling skills and non-verbal techniques such as art, play, drama and music therapies in one-to-one sessions to enable Adults and young people to express themselves and work through difficulties, release anxiety and improve their self-esteem. We are also able to facilitate group work and staff training workshops.

• Empowerment to lead an independent life

  
  This refers to helping individuals develop the skills and confidence they need to live as independently as possible. This might include support with tasks like shopping, cooking, or managing finances.

  No matter how limited a Service User’s abilities are they should ‘have a say’ about their lives. Some people need help with empowerment due to their age or circumstances e.g.

  Young people / Adults
  Individuals with physical or learning disabilities
  Empowerment is important as it allows people to make choices about treatment or services.
  Empowering a SU promotes independence because they will feel more in control over their situation, this could be something small like choosing a meal or item of clothes or bigger like the kind of treatment they want to have.

• Learning, Mentoring & Coaching Services

  
  These services can help adults continue to learn and grow, both personally and professionally. This might include classes or workshops on topics like computer skills, financial planning, or personal development.
  Effective managers and leaders create high performing teams and organisations and our experienced team can provide solutions to all types of coaching. Mentoring provides the right experience and guidance to help you make the right decisions about your future. We have an experienced team who have all been line managers. The experience and knowledge across a wide range of sectors and organisations means that we can almost always find a fit for you

• Health & Well-Being Services

  
  These services can include things like exercise classes, nutrition counselling, and access to medical care. The goal is to help individuals maintain or improve their overall health and well-being.

• Holistic services

  
  These services might include activities like yoga, meditation, or massage therapy, which can promote overall health and well-being.

• Person centred services

  
  These services are designed to meet the individual needs and preferences of each person who attends the center. This might include tailored activities or support to help individuals achieve their goals.

• Family contact centre

  
  This can be a place for family members to stay in touch with their loved ones who are attending the adult day care center. It might include regular communication or visits from family members.

• Conference and training facilities

  
  These facilities can be used for meetings, workshops, or other events related to adult day care.

• Supervised transport

  
  This service helps ensure that individuals can safely get to and from the center. It might include a transportation service provided by the center, or support for individuals to use public transportation.

  Our staff are trained on how to manage and support individuals with the above diagnosis’s.

Our Activities Includes

We individually assess the service user to identify their needs and offer our services accordingly. Our ethos and principles in Universal day care are very much person centred.

We offer a range of vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and halal meals and snacks to meet the dietary and religious requirements of our service users, thus maintaining a healthy and balanced diet.

Making sure that all care, religious and cultural needs are being met. We promote high standards of support and care.

We are committed to the safety of our staff and service users by providing a safe working environment by adhering to all the required health and safety procedures. The building is user-friendly. wheelchair access and lift facility are available. The building is fully cctv monitored and secured for the safety of the staff and service users. We actively promote anti-oppressive practises throughout the workforce.

Transport is provided to and from the centre supervised by our fully trained staff for health and safety.
